Project Description

Akiyasu Yamamoto is Associate Professor at Department of Applied Physics, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. He received his Bachelor degree (2003), Master degree (2005) and PhD (2008) in the Department of Applied Chemistry at the University of Tokyo. Thereafter, he worked as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow for Research Abroad in the Group of Prof. David Larbalestier at the NHMFL (USA). He also worked (2008-2010) at Applied Superconductivity Laboratory, National High Magnetic Field Laboratory in USA as Postdoctoral researcher. He is an elected member of Materials Research Society, Japan Society of Applied Physics, Cryogenics and Superconductivity Society of Japan (CSSJ) and The Japan Institute of Light Metals (JILM). He is an expert in Superconducting Materials Science, Solid State Chemistry, Magnet Applications and Materials Informatics. He has published more than 120 papers in international refereed journals with> 5000 citations (h– index> 30).
