Prof.Dr. İdris Kabalcı

Short CV

Dr. Kabalci received his PhD from Department of Physics, at the Istanbul Technical University in 2006 in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Kabalci gained useful experiences during the PhD research about “preparation  and characterization of the oxide glass materials”, furthermore, “spectroscopic investigation of thulium ion doped tellurite based optical glasses”. Following year, first of all, during the 2006-2007, for a year; Dr. Kabalci  joined to the University of Szeged, Szeged, Hungary, as a post-doctoral researcher about “fabrication, preparation and characterization of the oxide thin films by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method for sensors applications” at the department of Optics and Quantum Electronics ; then joined to the University of Southampton, Southampton, England, for 12 months, 2010-2011, as a postdoctoral researcher about “fabrication of the optical waveguide and optical fiber from Er3+ doped chalcogenide glass materials” in Optoelectronic research center (ORC) at the department of Physics. 

Dr. Kabalci conducted post-doctoral research on the production of Bi3+ based optical glass materials and wLEDs electronic devices with consultancy of Prof. Dr. Mingying PENG in the South China University of Technology (SCUT), State Key research laboratory, Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China, for 10 and 12 months in 2015 and 2019, respectively. 

Dr. Kabalci still teaching and going on his research facilities in the Uşak University, as a Dean of Faculty of Engineering, and Vice Rector in Uşak University, Uşak, Türkiye.
